Reception have welcomed ten new chicks into Reception over the past two weeks. They have cared for them, fed them, played with them and cleaned the brooder box out for them.

Parents have been coming to sessions in Reception to handle the chicks with their children and to learn about the chicks. The children have been able to tell their parents how many girl and boy chicks we have, how the chicks came out of the egg and all about their chick diaries. Along with many other interesting facts!

The children have been observing changes and writing an entry each day into their chick diaries.

Today we say goodbye to the chicks as they head to their new home on the farm!
