In geography this term, Year 3 have been learning about the Mediterranean. As part of the unit, the children have learnt the difference between weather and climate and explored some different houses all over the world to help answer the question ‘are houses built differently to suit different climates?’ After finding out about some weird and wonderful houses, such as houses built on stilts or houses built under ground, they were set the challenge of building two model houses, one to suit the climate in the Uk and one to suit the climate in the Mediterranean.
