Experimenting in snow!

Reception loved being out in the snow this morning! We wrapped up warm making sure our coats were zipped up and our hats, gloves and scarves were on! We enjoyed investigating and experimenting in the snow, we used different coloured paints and food colouring to colour the snow and made patterns in the snow too.

This afternoon we brought some of the snow into the classroom and made snow shakers in our cut and stick area. We decided to create and experiment and left one of these outside to see if the snow will last over night. Some children think it will still be there due to the cold whereas some other children think if it is sunny in the morning the snow could melt. We look forward to finding this out tomorrow when we arrive at school!
