“Once you learn to read, you will be forever free”…

Today Front Street celebrated World Book Day and our theme was You Choose. The children came to school dressed in an outfit/costume of their choice.

Reception have based their learning today around the book ‘You Choose In Space’. The staff in Reception dressed up as aliens from different plants linking to this story.

We have made chalk drawings of space ships, created paintings of space ships and aliens, we have launched rockets outside and made aliens in our play dough area.

We have enjoyed reading stories and completed the World Book Day quiz. We also created our own mash up story using two World Book Day characters!

We enjoyed an under the sea themed lunch with star fish and sea creature biscuits. Thank you to Ali and her team for all of your hard work today, we really appreciate it!

Reception then finished off their day enjoying stories from our two mystery readers!
