The ‘new’ Y1 have been busy testing different liquids – water, milk, apple juice and lemonade – to see which one is best to stop an apple turning brown. The children covered the apple slice in the liquid and left it overnight. We poured the liquid out and watched and waited, and waited and watched to see which apples turned brown and which ones didn’t!
