After constructing, testing, adapting and refining their VEX robots AND writing scratch coding to complete a series of tasks, the Year 6 team headed off to Nissan to compete in the Nissan VEX GO Celebration Event.
This years arena was an simulation of an underwater ‘Ocean’ habitat where our robots had to perform tasks such as aligning turbines, making repairs to pipes,
moving sensors to monitor underwater volcanoes and even opening a clam shell to retrieve a pearl.
Despite it being our very first year using VEX GO, our determination, co-operation and ability to adapt and refine meant that by the end of the event Front Street had finished tied top on 11 points with Woodlea Primary School.
