What an amazing adventure Year 3 had at The Great North Museum last week! We had an absolutely fantastic time exploring the Ancient Egyptians exhibition — the children were completely fascinated by Irtyru, the mummified woman, and loved uncovering the secrets of the past.
We also got hands-on in a brilliant workshop, investigating ancient artefacts and debating which Egyptian job was the most important — such great ideas and teamwork!
To top it all off, we extended our science learning in the rocks and fossils exhibit, where the sparkling gemstones were a definite favourite! What a fun-filled, fascinating day — we had a fab time!
