Over the Summer term Reception are learning all about life cycles.
This week Reception have been lucky enough to observe some duck eggs hatch, and tried our best to answer the philosophical question ‘What came first, the duck or the egg?’
We learnt that the eggs need to be kept warm inside an incubator before the ducklings hatch, and that the ducks use something called an ‘egg tooth’ to peck their way out of their egg.
We have 4 ducklings called: Leo, Bailey, Sunshine and Sprinkles, and we can’t wait to see how much they’ve grown over the weekend!
