About our uniform:
The children in our school are expected to wear a uniform. (Article 8) This enables everyone to have the same standard of dress and shows equality throughout the school. Our uniforms are not gender specific. School encourage parents to ‘reuse and recycle’ of our uniform and offer a uniform swap-shop termly – ran by our school staff. Please speak to us if you require any further information.
The required uniform includes:
- Grey trousers/dress shorts/skirt/pinafore.
- Red gingham dress can be worn in the summer months.
- A red jumper or cardigan (with or without our school logo).
- A white shirt, blouse or polo shirt (with or without our school logo).
Jewellery
The school rules on jewellery are as follows:
- No piercings are permitted.
- A smart and sensible wristwatch may be worn. No smart watches.
Pupils will be advised that jewellery is their personal responsibility and not that of the school. Lost or damaged items will not be refunded. All jewellery must be removed during practical lessons, including PE lessons and science experiments.
Optional items:
Cardigans, sweatshirts, polo shirts, black shorts and red PE t-shirt are available with the school logo, along with fleeces and coats. Items of clothing without the school logo are acceptable to wear and are available from supermarkets and high street stores, or purchased online. It is important that all items of clothing are clearly named.
SHOES:
Children should wear black shoes: trainers are not part of the uniform. Shoes should be sensible, sturdy and safe for school. Many types of footwear (especially fashion shoes with high heels) are a source of potential accidents in school, especially in a playground situation. Trainers with branded logos are not permitted.
PE UNIFORM:
For hygiene reasons, the children are expected to change for Physical Education activities. For indoor PE, such as gymnastics and dance, children wear:- A red T shirt or one with the school logo black shorts black plimsolls (KS1) or bare feet (KS2) For outdoor activities the children should wear: a red PE T shirt or one with the school logo black shorts or black track suit bottoms black plimsolls (KS1) or trainers (KS2) .
