Last week we worked very hard in Reception! We used skills that we have been learning in phonics to independently write a Christmas list for Santa, we found this a bit tricky but remembered that our Fred fingers could help us sound out and write words we didn’t know. We also looked at a local area map, located our school and then located the post box we were going to walk to so we could post our letters. We even used google maps to preview the journey we were going to make! After learning about our local area we then had a go at making our own maps to help us know which way we needed to walk , take a look at our work below:
