This week, our Year 3 children became brilliant bridge builders as part of their Design and Technology project! We explored beam bridges and investigated different ways to make them stronger. The children tested techniques such as laminating, corrugating, and ribbing — all clever ways to reinforce a simple structure.
Using paper, card and their creative thinking, the children built and tested their bridges, carefully observing which method could hold the most weight.
Take a look at the photos of our young engineers in action!
Which method do you think made the strongest bridge?
