This week Reception have learnt how to be responsible around animals. We learnt that just like us, animals have rights and we are responsible for helping them to be met. We learnt about the RSPB, and how this charity aims to protect birds.
Throughout the week we handled the ducklings safely, remembering to wash our hands before and after handling them, we drew some observational drawings of the ducklings and labelled their names. Some of our grown ups came to see the ducklings and we were even able to watch them take their first paddle in a pool!
Phew what a week, we hope that they enjoy their new home back on the farm!
