Do you look after your eyes in the sun?

In our science lesson today, year three learned about the dangers of uv rays from the sun on our eyes. We learned that uv rays are especially dangerous on children’s eyes whose eye lenses are more transparent and therefore let in more uv rays. We read that 70% of people in the world don’t wear sunglasses when it’s sunny! We designed posters to tell people that it’s important to wear sunglasses, wide brimmed hats and apply sunscreen to the skin around our eyes when it’s sunny.
