British Science Week Competition

British Science Week is 8th-17th March and the theme this year is ‘Time’. Mrs Smith led a whole school assembly this week all about science careers and smashing stereotypes, and the pupil science ambassadors led class assemblies in y1-6 today, launching a competition.

To enter the competition, children need to come up with a question linked to science and time and then try to answer it. Questions that can be tested out are great but Google research to find out answers is also fine. Example questions are:
  • How long does an ice cube take to melt?
  • How long does it take for paint to dry?
  • How long does a puddle take to evaporate?
  • What happens to a piece of bread when it’s left out for a week?
  • How do we change as we grow older?
We are looking forward to seeing the variety of questions you have explored.
Entries must be in by Friday 19th April.
